Kids now and then enjoy the same thing, video games. Whether it be a retro arcade game crammed in a sweaty carpeted room or a high powered Playstation in the comfort of their own home, kids can’t seem to get enough of video games. Polybius is a strong standing example of this fact, but with a sinister secret. The arcade game was so addictive to young players that they would play for hours upon end and feud violently just to get the next turn (Dennis).

In the conspiracy of the Polybius arcade game, there are two theories as to what it really was. One discusses how many of the people that have claimed to play Polybius have different accounts of how the game played, leading readers to believe it wasn’t real at all. (Meade, Van Buren)  Alternatively, the case that holds the most realistic answers is the possibility that it was an extension of MK-Ultra.
